Een stukje geschiedenis van de Power of Prayer Church
Beseffende dat tegenwoordig veel mensen het Woord van God hebben vergeten of er geen aandacht aan besteden..
Beseffende dat we als Christenen een verantwoordelijkheid hebben in het uitbreiden van het Koninkrijk van God of aarde..
Geïnspireerd door het schrift-gedeelte in Nehemia 1 vers 9 waar staat “Maar als u zich tot Mij bekeert en u zich aan Mijn geboden houdt en deze doet, al bevonden uw verdrevenen zich aan het einde van de hemel, vandaar zal Ik hen bijeenbrengen en hen brengen naar de plaats die Ik gekozen heb om daar Mijn Naam te doen wonen.”
Wij, de oprichters van de Power of Prayer Church (PPC), kregen de opdracht en visie om een kerk te stichten met als doel het herstellen van het Koninkrijk van God onder zijn volk.
De visie om een kerk op te richten werd voor het eerst in de praktijk gebracht in 2003 door het starten van een gebedsgroep in het asielzoekerscentrum in Gilze Rijen (Nederland) waar we destijds woonden. In 2004 kreeg het verder vorm en registreerden we ons officieel als kerk (onder de naam PPM Power of Prayer Ministries) in Culemborg, waar we in het begin als leden één keer per maand bij elkaar kwamen. Tegelijkertijd begonnen we met vele gebedsgroepen door het land heen, in die plaatsen waar leden van onze kerk woonachtig waren.
In 2008 begonnen we met gezamenlijke wekelijkse samenkomsten in Gorinchem onder de naam van Power of Prayer Church en onder de vlag van Power of Prayer Ministries.
De visie van Power of Prayer Ministries gaat verder dan alleen de kerk in Gorinchem er is nl. ook visie om in het algemeen meer kerken in Nederland en Europa te vestigen maar ook kerken te stichten in de “Great Lakes Region of Africa”. Recentelijk zijn we een kerk gestart in Rwanda.[:en]The confession of our faith in God

A brief history on Power of Prayer Church
After finding that nowadays many people have forgotten or do not care about the word of God;
After being aware that as Christians we have a responsibility of expanding the Kingdom of God on the earth;
Inspired by the scripture written in the book of Nehemiah 1: 9 saying that ‘‘but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there I will gather them and bring them to the place that I have chosen, to make my name dwell there;
We, founders of Power of Prayer Church (PPC) have had a vision and a task to establish a church with the purpose of restoring the Kingdom of God among his people.
The vision to establish a church was first put into practice in 2003 by starting a prayergroup in the asylum seeker centre in Gilze Rijen (The Netherlands) where we lived at that time.
In 2004 it took further shape and we registered us officially as church (with the name PPM Power of Prayer Ministries) in Culemborg, where, in the beginning, we gathered as members once per month. In the meantime we started with many prayergroups all over the country in those places where our members were living.
In 2008 we started to keep joint weekly services in Gorinchem with the name of Power of Prayer Church and under the flag of Power of Prayer Ministries.
The vision of Power of Prayer Ministries is bigger than only the church in Gorinchem.
There is also the vision in general to establisch more churches in The Netherlands and Europe but also to establish churches in the “Great Lakes Region of Africa”. Recently we established a church in Rwanda.[:fr]La confession de notre foi en Dieu

Une brève histoire de Power of Prayer Church.
Réalisant que beaucoup de gens ont aujourd’hui oublié la Parole de Dieu ou ne faites pas attention à elle ..
Réalisant que nous, les chrétiens avons la responsabilité d’étendre le Royaume de Dieu dans le monde.. Inspiré par le passage biblique dans Nehemie 1 verset 9 qui dit : ‘’Mais si vous revenez à moi, et si vous observez mes commandements et les mettez en pratique, alors, quand vous seriez exilés à l’extrémité du ciel, de là je vous rassemblerai et je vous ramènerai dans le lieu que j’ai choisi pour y faire résider mon nom. ”
Nous , les fondateurs de l’eglise ‘’ Power of Prayer Church (PPC, en sigle), avons recu la vision et la mission de mettre sur pied une église dans le but de restaurer le Royaume de Dieu parmi son peuple.
La vision d’établir une église s est concrétisée en 2003 , d abord par la naissance d ‘un groupe de prière dans le centre de réfugiés à Gilze (Pays-Bas ) , où nous vivions à l’époque. En 2004, voyant que le groupe continue à grandir, nous nous sommes fait enregistré notre officiellement comme Ministère dénommé ‘’ Power of Prayer Ministry (PPM)’’ à Culemborg, où nous nous recontrions une fois par mois . Dans le même temps , nous avons créé de nombreux groupes de prière dans les villes où les membres de notre église habitaient .En 2008, du Ministère ‘’ Power of Prayer Minstry ‘’ est née , à Gorinchem, l Eglise ‘’ Power of Prayer Church’’ avec des cultes organisés chaque dimanche.
La vision de Power of Prayer ministry (PPM) va au- déla de la seule église à Gorinchem, c est ainsi que nous voulons établir d ‘autres églises ici aux Pays-Bas , en Europe mais aussi dans la région des Grands Lacs en Afrique , où nous venons notamment de commencer une église au Rwanda.[:]
